Dipole-mode and scissors-mode oscillations of a dipolar supersolid

چکیده

We study dipole-mode and scissors-mode oscillations of a harmonically trapped dipolar supersolid, composed droplets arranged on one-dimensional (1D) or 2D lattice, to establish the robustness its crystalline structure under translation rotation, using beyond-mean-field model including Lee-Huang-Yang interaction. The atoms are polarized in $z$ direction with supersolid lying $x\text{\ensuremath{-}}y$ plane. A stable oscillation is possible case both quasi-1D quasi-2D supersolids, whereas sustained angular only between maximum minimum trap anisotropy In cases there no visible deformation during oscillation. theoretical estimate scissors-mode-oscillation frequency good agreement present results improves an increase number also confining frequencies. this can be tested experimentally knowhow.

Coupling of Dipole Mode to γ-unstable Quadrupole Oscillations

The coupling of the high-lying dipole mode to the low-lying quadrupole modes for the case of deformed γ-unstable nuclei is studied. Results from the geometrical model are compared to those obtained within the dipole boson model. Consistent results are obtained in both models. The dipole boson model is treated within the intrinsic frame, with subsequent projection onto the laboratory frame. As a...

Non-Scissors-Mode Behaviour of Isovector Magnetic Dipole Orbital Transitions Involving Isospin Transfer

We study the response of isovector orbital magnetic dipole (IOMD) transitions to the quadrupole-quadrupole (Q · Q) interaction, to the isospinconserving pairing interaction (ICP) and to combinations of both. We find qualitatively different behaviours for transitions in which the final isospin differs from the initial isospin versus cases where the two isospins are the same. For N = Z even-even ...

Dipole-mode vector solitons

We find a new type of optical vector soliton that originates from trapping of a dipole mode by the soliton-induced waveguides. These solitons, which appear as a consequence of the vector nature of the two-component system, are more stable than the previously found optical vortex solitons and represent a new type of extremely robust nonlinear vector structure.

Coupled states of electromagnetic fields with magnetic-dipolar-mode vortices: Magnetic-dipolar-mode vortex polaritons

A coupled state of an electromagnetic field with an electric or magnetic dipole-carrying excitation is well known as a polariton. Such a state is the result of the mixing of a photon with the excitation of a material. The most discussed types of polaritons are phonon polaritons, exciton polaritons, and surface-plasmon polaritons. Recently, it was shown that, in microwaves, strong magnon-photon ...

Counterpropagating dipole-mode vector soliton.

We experimentally observed a counterpropagating dipole-mode vector soliton in a photorefractive SBN:60Ce crystal. We investigated the transient formation dynamics and show that the formation process differs significantly from the copropagating geometry. The experimental results are compared with fully anisotropic numerical simulations and show good qualitative agreement.
